THEATRE AT ITS BEST

OUR EXPERIENCE

West End Worldwide was formed by Dubai’s Leading Theatrical Producer Lucy Magee.

With a career spanning over twenty years, she has worked hugely successfully as both a Producer and Performer. Her work as an actress, singer and voiceover artist (under the alias Lucy Hunter James) has seen her perform on stage, screen and radio in more than 85 countries. As a Producer she is one of the most known theatrical names in the Middle East having produced over fifty West End productions.

West End Worldwide launched its theatrical show series by producing all the entertainment for the soft VIP launch of the QE2 Hotel in Dubai for H.H. Sheikh Ahmed Bin Saeed Al Maktoum. The event was a huge success.

Following on from this was the immersive ‘Grease’ experience for Yas Movies in the Park. The event was hosted on the 16th and 23rd March and starred a West End Cast alongside local dancers, bands and performers. It scored 9.1 out of 10 in customer satisfaction and experience which was the highest achieved on Yas Island in the last 15 months.  In October the company produced the second event in the immersive cinema experience - Mamma Mia, Yas Movies Live in the Park, the event saw a turnout of over 3500 people.

Moving forward into the final two months of 2018 the agency acts were very busy with one extremely special booking in particular as 'The Jersey Quartet' are the first ticketed event in the Grand Lounge of the QE2 Hotel after its official opening. We also provided all the entertainment for Yas Winter Carnival.

In March 2019 West End Worldwide was honoured to be the Creative Directors for a very special live event at the iconic 'Louvre, Abu Dhabi' museum.  We were delighted to bring to life the breathtaking piece of art - Jan Steen's 'The Banquet of Anthony and Cleopatra'. Our team created a theatrical piece of entertainment and performance art using acting, movement, dance, combat and much more! It was a unique, immersive performance.

Shortly after, the third in the immersive movie series, 'Mamma Mia - Here We Go Again!' was produced in March of 2019 and was a resounding success.

In October and November 2019, things got extremely busy for the West End Worldwide team as they became the Entertainment producers or the Insomnia Gaming Festival in Dubai and Riyadh. Aside from supplying all the content for the main stage which included 4 bespoke tribute shows - 'Fortnite', 'Assassins Creed', 'PUBG' and 'Overwatch', they also ran supplied all the walkabout entertainment, costumed characters and ran the Cosplay competition.  The project involved over 160 creatives and performers and will be back again in 2020.

Alongside Insomnia, the Movies in the Park series continued to run, this time with 'The Greatest Showman' and was the most loved of the entire series. The company is now developing dinner theatre concepts for other UAE venues on a similar theme.

Riding into 2020 the company was delighted to be chosen to produce 'A Night at the Theatre' for the celebration of a large worldwide corporation. The event took place in the ballroom of the JW Marriott Marquis with Australian and West End star, Tim Rogers at the helm.
